Sorry I haven’t posted much lately – I’ve really been swamped with quite a few things going on around here! My husband and I run our own small business and it has really been prioritised lately (much to my camera’s disappointment!)

Here’s a really quick summary of some of the things I’ve been up to:
- Imogen continues to do well after her enucleation (having her eye removed) after being diagnosed with retinoblastoma, this is wonderful *wonderful* news!

- I should also make a special mention to the amazing Simone Hanckel who offered her time and *extraordinary* skills and took photos of Immy and her family the day before her surgery. Simone is an inspirational photographer whose ability to capture feeling and emotion is second to none, and of course she’s such a lovely person! Thanks so much for your generosity Simone!
- I made a trip to Brisbane earlier late last month to catch up with friends, attend the ACOCP AGM, and also check out the PMA Expo (which is an expo showcasing all things photographic, imagery etc). I had a fabulous time, and also got to meet some awesome photographers (and friends!) Thanks for the QLD hospitality – I had a fabulous time!
- I’ve just upgraded my desktop computer and am now running a 24″ iMac – it’s a totally trendy machine and the screen is glorious!
- My neighbour and I headed across to Arno Bay (on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia) over the first part of the June long weekend where my very good friend celebrated her 30th birthday, it was a great night with fabulous country hospitality. We had driven over in the Mini and were more than happy to catch the ferry on the way home between Lucky Bay and Wallaroo to save us a bit of driving – it was great to be able to curl up and relax after a big night rather than sitting behind the wheel!
- Last month I checked out my brother Dave’s band Abeyant playing live – totally rocking!

That’s about all I can remember at this point, I will endeavor to stay more in touch!

How’s the cuteness factor? My little man asked if his jumper was made by stripy sheep!

alas the jumper is in fact made of cotton!
Update on Imogen: she is recovering well after surgery on Tuesday (she’s such a little trooper!). She and her family are constantly in our thoughts, they are awaiting the results of some tests which be fairly important in regards to Immy’s future health and family. Please cuddle your little ones closer, and keep Imogen in your thoughts xxx

We’ve had a sick boy in the household the last few days (and don’t we know it!) He’s all chesty and his barky cough is awful, hopefully he’s on the mend soon…. I’m also hoping that the rest of us manage to avoid it, I’ve got a busy month coming up and I really don’t want to be sick!

I must admit that the benefit of him not being 100% well is that he was a bit more compliant in standing in front of the camera, and i managed to get a couple of him actually standing still (I know, shock horror!)

I am in love!

A friend lovingly handmade me a pink pettiskirt, and it’s stunning! There is so much work involved in making a pettiskirt like this, there is actually sooo much fabric in it, with a lot of intricate sewing! I can’t wait to take more photographs, and I already have had a few requests from mums who want their little girls to be photographed wearing it
Thanks Tammy!

Well he’s here! Baby S was welcomed to the world on Anzac Day Eve *welcome to the world!!*
Mum did an amazing job in her 33 hour labour (you can read snippets of it on this article about long labours on her midwife’s blog), and I’ve heard that Dad & big brother are both pretty thrilled with him too. I really want to congratulate her for the commitment and determination she showed towards creating the empowering home birth that she wanted – M you are an inspiration!
Here he is on the inside (last month!), Mum was looking radiant!

Her belly button was so cute, it actually looked like a little fetus all curled up and poking out :p Thanks M for letting me take them, I can’t wait to meet your little man!

I was lucky enough to share in a beautiful wedding day with the beautiful Semaphore foreshore as the backdrop. We had experienced some really rainy weather earlier in the week, but thankfully the sun came out in all it’s glory for the day. Thank you Jade and Scott for asking me to capture your special day, here is a sneak peak of some of my favourites.

Tammy is looking totally fabulous while pregnant – I couldn’t help feeling a small pang of jealousy! I love being pregnant (just don’t tell my husband!) She’s also baking her first girl, after squeezing out 3 energetic boys! I’m not sure why these look so soft, I think I’ve messed up resizing them for the web

She’s also a fabulous crafty type person (imagine the total opposite of me!) – check out her blog for her fabulous creations! – http://tams-dragontails.blogspot.com/ And incase you need any confirmation about how amazing she is, this fabulous bag is mine! (and the smaller one belongs to Claire)
I can’t wait to photograph her new baby

I am proud to be a volunteer with the Australian Charity of Child Photographers, a wonderful charity that provides individual or family photographic portraits to families that meet the ACOCP criteria. Families that have experienced difficult times such as stillbirth, have critically premature and ill babies, or babies and children with serious and terminal illnesses are eligible to receive assistance from ACOCP and further information is on the ACOCP website –
www.acocp.org.au
If you know of any families who would benefit from the services of ACOCP, please contact me, or your local state contact or a participating photographer in your area (listed on the ACOCP website in the “our photographers” section)

After a record breaking heat wave (15 days above 35° - it was awful!!) it was fabulous to have some cooler weather, so we piled into the carfor a nice Sunday drive. The kids had a blast, the scenery was lovely, and did I mention how much more agreeable the weather was?

Aidan got a toy camera for his birthday (it actually takes digital shots!), and he thinks he’s the bees knees!
